About Me

Hi, I’m Charlotte.

I created Vlarosa as a space to share one of my biggest passions: beauty.

That’s exactly what Vlarosa is about.

Why I started Vlarosa

There’s so much beauty content online, but a lot of it can feel overwhelming, repetitive, or too focused on what’s viral in the moment.

And honestly, not every trend is worth the hype.

Some things look amazing in a photo for five seconds, but don’t really hold up in everyday life. Some trends feel exciting at first, but don’t actually suit most people. And sometimes the real question isn’t just what’s trending, but what actually looks good, feels fresh, and is worth trying for you.

That shift in perspective is a huge part of why I started Vlarosa.

My approach to beauty

What has always interested me most is the difference between a trend that is just everywhere for a moment and a look that actually has impact.

I pay close attention to details:

  • The way a certain nail shape changes the whole feel of a manicure.
  • The way a hair color can make someone look instantly more polished.
  • The way makeup trends shift depending on textures, tones, placement, and finish.
  • The way one small beauty detail can completely change how fresh, elevated, or current a look feels.

That’s where a lot of my perspective comes from.

I don’t just love beauty in a surface-level way. I really pay attention to patterns, recurring aesthetics, why certain looks keep coming back, and how trends evolve over time. I’m always noticing what starts showing up everywhere, what feels new, what’s just a modern version of something we’ve already seen before, and what actually has staying power.

What I focus on most

I love keeping up with what’s current, but I care just as much about whether something is actually flattering, practical, and realistic. I’m always asking questions like:

  • Does this work beyond social media?
  • Does it actually feel fresh in real life?
  • What kind of features, hair types, or styles does it suit best?
  • Is it something that will still look good a few months from now?
  • And is it actually worth trying, or is it just hype?

That’s the kind of beauty content I’m most interested in creating.

Because for me, the best beauty inspiration is the kind that helps you understand what you’re looking at — not just copy it.

What you will find here

  • Step-by-step makeup looks with the “why” behind the choices (finish, placement, and mood), plus beginner-friendly variations
  • Hairstyle inspiration by length and occasion, with notes on what makes a style work in real life
  • Nail edits that cover shape, finish, color pairings, and seasonal trend direction
  • Everyday outfit ideas for real plans and real closets, including repeatable formulas
  • Curated aesthetics, mood boards, and color palettes to help you name your style and build it intentionally
  • Trend context so you can spot what is rising, what is peaking, and what is already on its way out

My perspective on trends

Over time, I’ve learned that beauty trends move fast, but the reason certain ones stick is usually much deeper than people think.

A lot of what feels “new” is really just a slightly updated version of something that already worked before. The tones change, the finish changes, the shape changes – but the overall pattern is often familiar.

You stop feeling like you need to keep up with every single thing. You start recognizing what actually suits you. And you get a much better eye for what’s worth your attention and what probably won’t last.

My background

I’m Charlotte, the creator behind Vlarosa, based in London. My interest in beauty started early, watching makeup being applied carefully and noticing how small choices change the whole effect. Over time, I kept experimenting, saving references, trying techniques, and paying attention to what translates from a photo into real life.

Vlarosa is independently owned and published, and I’m responsible for what appears here.

Outside of beauty & fashion

When I’m not creating content, you’ll find me:

  • wandering through makeup aisles just for “research”
  • testing new hair tools while watching comfort shows
  • collecting nail inspiration at 1 AM (we’ve all been there)
  • reading aesthetic books or scrolling Pinterest
  • photographing little moments that inspire me
  • or spending time with people who make life feel soft and bright
